About Us

Our Credit Union was formed in 1986 through the merger of Wampler Longacre and Rockingham Poultry Credit Unions.  The name was later changed to Mosaic Federal Credit Union to prevent having to change the name of the Credit Union when the companies were again sold.  In 2001 the NCUA approved a community charter for Mosaic Federal Credit Union, whereby anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Harrisonburg may join the Credit Union.  We also serve several Select Employee groups.  For a more complete list, visit our site on "Who can join".  As with our name,  our membership is composed of many diverse elements. 

We are a non-profit organization.  What this means to you is higher returns on your savings, and lower rates on your loans.  Stop by the office and see how we can help change your financial future. 

Who Can Join

Membership in Mosaic Federal Credit Union is open to individuals or businesses that live, work, worship, or attend school in Harrisonburg.  You may also join the Credit Union if you work for one of the following businesses:

• Pilgrim's Pride Corporation

• Virginia Poultry Growers Coop

• Bowman Apple Products

• May Supply

• Valley Custom Homes

Once you are a member of Mosaic Federal Credit Union, you may retain that membership for life, even if you leave the field of membership.  Your immediate family members may join the Credit Union too.  Saving is important for the whole family.  We encourage you to teach your children the importance of saving.
